"Overseas Tourism Marketing and Promotion Strategy 2027–2028"

Workshop on "Overseas Tourism Marketing and Promotion 2027–2028" under the theme "Assessment and Identification of Priority Tourism Markets for Cambodia 2027–2028," presided over by His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism and Co-Chair of Working Group "B" (Government), and Oknha Luu Meng, Co-Chair of Tourism Working Group "B" (Private Sector), and also served as a distinguished guest speaker. The objectives are: 1. Identify priority and high-potential tourism target markets for Cambodia for 2027–2028. 2. Understand travel trends influencing regional/inbound tourism demand. 3. Examine key challenges affecting competitiveness, including air connectivity and flight costs/pricing. 4. Evaluate visitor perceptions, common misconceptions, and booking barriers. 5. Formulate actionable recommendations to strengthen Cambodia’s overall tourism competitiveness.

Strengthen international promotion of Cambodia’s tourism. This aligns with the vision: the greater the challenges, the stronger the resilience

Oknha Din Somethearith, President of the Cambodia Tourism Federation (CTF), attended the First Quarter 2026 Work Review and Second Quarter 2026 Action Plan Meeting of the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB). The meeting was presided over by His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the CTB. The objective of the meeting was to review achieved progress, analyze and evaluate tourism statistics as well as domestic, regional, and global tourism trends, and identify potential risks and opportunities. This as done to formulate targeted, timely, flexible, and responsive key strategies and action plans to address both current and medium-term directions.
